The world has gone so materialistic nowadays that “giving” becomes a rare commodity. Instead of giving and sharing love, some have turned into being selfish and greedy. Going back to the spiritual principles laid out in the Scriptures, is it really more blessed to give than to receive?
I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
It has been prophesied that in the last days, perilous times will come.
2 Timothy 3:1-5
(1) This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
(2)For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
(3)Without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
(4) Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
(5)Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
That means, if you put all the characteristics of men in the last days, they only love themselves, they do not love anyone else. This is what characterizes our generation today. We have seen that because in the modern times, when you turn on your TV, or listen to radio or news, it is all about corruption, it’s all about greediness and selfishness of man.
There is a very rare commodity which is absent in the outer world today but is very much present in the Father’s inner world, the New World, the Kingdom of Heaven revealed on the earth today.
How did greediness begin?
This widespread corruption is a result of breakdown of man’s relationship with the Father. When man was separated from the Father, this relationship was broken down and so man lived only for himself. Man followed his own will that is enthroned within him, and that is the serpent seed.
So, the rule in the world today is “Get” not give. “Get first and then forget about giving.”
“It is only for me.” It is the “me, my, mine” generation. There is no thought of anything like genuine love towards your fellowman or towards God, it is all in the spirit of corruption, the enthronement of self and the human will. Matthew 24:12 defines our generation where we live today.
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
So love becomes very rare. Love becomes very scarce. It is only selfish love that you have in this world today. It is only, “You live for yourself and you die for yourself.”
But in the Kingdom, we find that the Father has created a New World for us, a New Heaven and a New Earth.
This New World is a society of people who have in common the New Heavens teaching of the supreme law in the Kingdom, which is love.
Mark 12:30- 31
(30) And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
(31) And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Why didn’t the Father stop on verse 30 only? Why would He put the second commandment?
Because, number one, “and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul,” you cannot see Him, but you can ‘confess’ that you love Him. And nobody will know that you love Him or that you do not love Him, as long as you confess with your mouth. “Well I have followed the first commandment that I love God with all my heart, with all my soul, with all my mind.” It is you who have confessed that, it is you who have witnessed that, it is you who can define it whether or not you love Him, it is you who can say that.
And many times, this deceives people and deceives the self because they confessed with their mouth that they love God, but their hearts are far away from Him (Mark 7:6-8).
How can you really look at a person and say, “This person really loves God with all his heart, with all his mind,” it is just a confession.
Anyone can say, “I love God with all my heart, with all my mind,” and nobody can dispute that because you said it. But for it to be true, the second commandment must come.
And the second is like, “Namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself,” this is now the expression of your love.
When you begin to do the second commandment in relationship with the first commandment, “Loving your neighbor as yourself” is like “loving God” whom you have seen in any other person.
Because if you cannot love me whom you can see how can you say you love God whom you cannot see (1 John 4:20). And there is no better expression of the manifestation of the Almighty Father than His Appointed Son.
You cannot just confess and say, “I love you Pastor,” you have to prove it because he is here and he has set the tone of obedience to the commandment of the Almighty Father beginning with him. It has begun with him and he is following the Father’s law here on the earth that is why he became the Appointed Son.
All of you sons and daughters of the Father Almighty cannot hide behind the veil of your confession saying, “I love God,” you have to prove it because you have to obey. If you failed to obey then you do not really love Him, then you will fall under Mark 7:6-8.
(6) He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
(7)Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
(8)For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
Do you know that you do not have to be a member of a certain denomination or religion in the Church Age to make your own laws?
You can personally make your own law and follow that law. And if you do that, then secretly you are back into the fold of the serpent seed of obeying your human will, and nobody knows where that begins but you. It begins in your heart that is how sin and iniquity began in heaven, by Satan Lucifer the devil making his own laws outside of the laws of the Almighty Father.
That is why we have a Kingdom Nation where all of these are going to be fulfilled and manifested in us. You are the walking obedience of the Father’s law in the earth today.
How to show your love to your neighbor?
If you love your neighbor, teach your neighbor how to follow the Father’s will. Do you want your neighbor to go to heaven? Tell your neighbor, who is your brother and sister, who is very close to you, that if they lack the knowledge and understanding of these laws, you will be there to provide them the way, or guide them, strengthen them, and give them the necessary spiritual guidance if you, besides them, see the need.
We have our Kingdom Light Congregations scattered all over Davao City and all over the world because we do not only keep it to ourselves, we have to love our neighbors as ourselves.
The Need for Spiritual Growth
If you want to go to heaven, you also want your neighbor to go to heaven. If you want to become matured, you also have to help in letting others be matured. That is why we have the Spiritual growth ministries where we have lessons from infancy to middle age growth to maturity, to the third level of Huiothesia where the Father can trust in you.
The Father is always looking for sons and daughters whom He can trust in the last days and we cannot please the Father, if all of us remain infants.
If you remain an infant and do not grow in the spirit of knowledge and wisdom and understanding, you always get; you do not give.
But, when you grow older, and then you support another life (that means you will have a physical family with children) you will grow as a mother or a father. The role of a father and a mother is “to give and support the life.”
The role of an infant is “to get, get, get.”
The role of the adult is “to give, give, give.”
You do not have to have a physical family here in the Kingdom Nation because the Father’s Kingdom Nation is a spiritual family. There are many who are spiritually born that needs somebody “to give” to them- give them guidance, insight, encouragement, knowledge, understanding, and it is us who can give them that.
That is why when you become an adult, you have to have spiritual children follow you. You should guide others and become a spiritual father or spiritual mother to them. You should support a spiritual life. It is impossible for us to understand the “spirit of giving” if we remain infants because the only ministry of infants is to “get, to suck and to get.”
We are not a nation of suckers, we are a nation of givers.
We are not only a nation of infants, but we are matured children called sons and daughters that means “we are a nation of givers.”
We need more givers. There are many children who are being born in the Kingdom Nation of the Father’s obedience to His will, and we need givers. We need fathers and mothers; we need sons and daughters who can support life. Everyone should be supporting life. Everyone should be supporting one, two, three, or four lives.
This is the equivalent of the teachings of the Almighty Father in John 15 about the branches that are fruitful. When you are fruitful, you support life. You support the fruit that it will remain. This is part of our being a nation of givers.
How does the Father define this love in us?
Because it is impossible for you to have children and not love them. If you become a mother or a father, you will be forced to love life, to love children, young ones, feed them because they cannot feed for themselves. We are being nurtured into becoming givers of life.
1 Corinthians 13:1-13
(1) Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
(2) And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing.
(3) And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not love, it profiteth me nothing.
(4) Love suffereth long, and is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
(5) Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
(6) Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
(7) Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
(8) Love never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
(9) For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
(10) But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
(11)When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
(12)For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
(13)And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
This defines what love is. In other words, you can have all the gifts, all the talents, all the sacrifices that you can do, burn yourself for others, give everything you have for the poor, sacrifice yourself, but if you do not have love, you are nothing.
And then, it goes on to define what love is in verse 3 and onwards. If I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, I give my body to be burned, if I do not have love it profits me nothing.
These are the characterization of love manifested in us, and these should characterize our everyday lives. These should define who we are as people in the Father’s Kingdom Nation, as sons and daughters:
Love suffereth long, love is not impatient. Love suffereth long, and is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth not behave itself unseemly, is not easily provoked, does not easily get angry, thinketh no evil, does not think of any evil, rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
How does the Father define love?
We have seen that in 1 Corinthians 13:1-13, and that goes on to say that love is the most important thing of all.
And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
It says there, When I was a child, I spake as a child…
You speak as a child, you always wanted to get what you want.
I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
And then it goes on to say in the last, And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Love will remain forever, and that is also the definition of our Almighty God our Almighty Father. God is love. Those that do not know what love is have not known and have not seen God.
One can give without loving, but one cannot love without giving.
So the sincerity of our love is demonstrated by “our giving” to meet the needs of others.
2 Corinthians 8:8
(8) I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.
That should be the number one characterization when we define love: it must be sincere love.
There are many, many kinds of love, there is puppy love.
There are many definitions of love.
There are three kinds of love. One is Eros, the second is Philio and the third one is Agape.
- Eros love is a love between the opposite sex. Eros love will end; it is the love between the opposite sex; it is a fleshly love. Sometimes lust is mistaken for love. When there is an attraction between the opposite sex man and woman, boy or girl, and then there is infatuation in between, many thought that that is love.
“I felt love,” that is not love at all. You have to look at that because many, many times it is only eros love that pushes you to do some of those things that later on you will regret. And after that it has dissipated, then the attraction of that kind of love vanishes away.
That is why there are divorces, there are separations, there are things that do not constitute the first thing that you have felt when you look at the opposite sex. After all, it is only something that is lower than that. It is only lust that had attracted you to the opposite sex.
- Philio love is love for relatives and that will even dissipate, that will even fly out of the window if given the chance. When it is tried and tested, this kind of love will not endure. How many brothers have murdered each other? How many brothers and sisters have separated that until death they have not been in talking terms? How many fathers and sons have a dispute that they carried until death? There are so many of them; that love cannot sustain, it cannot endure.
- Agape love is the love that comes from the Father Almighty. And this is the definition of divine love, when we were yet sinners, He came and loved us and died for us. So when you have the love of the Father in you, it transcends all of this kind of love. This kind of love never ends.
Love when it is defined by the Father endures forever. That is why in marriage, the Father said, “What God had joined together, let no man put asunder (Mark 10:9)”.
That is why when the Father is in the bond of the union between a man and a woman, it transcends eros and philio, it includes divine love.
Divine love binds you not only to each other but it bind you to the love of the Creator, bringing you to the first commandment, Love God with all your heart first, with all your mind, with all your soul (Mark 12:30), And that is how you can love your neighbor as yourself (Mark 12:31).
And your nearest neighbor, if you are married, is your husband or your wife.
Sincerity of our love: that is what should define us.
Sincerity of our love is only defined on the divine side of love, which is only coming from the Father Almighty.
That is why when you come to the Father and serve Him, do not bring any kind of those love, it will only be burnt, it will not endure. When it is tried and tested, when the rains will descend, when the winds will blow and when the storm will come and beat upon that kind of a love, it will fall (Matthew 7:24-27).
But when you have the divine love of the Father within you, you serve Him because you know who He is, you are connected to Him spiritually, you are born in the spirit of obedience to His will, without the serpent seed, anything that will try you or test you will be bearable, you will stand, you will not fall, because you are standing on the rock of obedience because of that love. Obedience is the fruit of love.
We love God with all of our heart that is why we obey Him.
We love God with all of our mind that is why He is the center of what we think about every day.
We love God with all our strength that is why we give Him the first fruits of everything we have.
Who is your first fruit in your family?
Your first-born son, your first-born daughter. Have you given your first-born son or daughter exclusively only for the ministry to become fulltime miracle worker given to the Father Almighty? If you have not, you are selfish, you are greedy, and the Father will not bless your family.
Why? “Because it is more blessed to give than to receive.” This is the blessedness between giving and receiving which is more blessed.
I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
We give to the Father by seeking His Kingdom first.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness means you always consider the Kingdom first. When He talks about the Kingdom that is the rule of the Father towards His own people who have accepted that rule by virtue of repentance or surrendering their serpent seed and then accepting the rule of the Father, through the new seed of obedience in fulfillment of John 3:5.
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
So all of those in the Kingdom they have the mental set of always seeking the Kingdom of God first or thinking of what the Kingdom is about first.
When I become a matured son and daughter of the Father, in the morning I’d always ask, “What can I do for the Father’s Kingdom today?” Not what the Kingdom can do for me but what can I do for Him today. “What can I give to Him today, what can I do for Him today?”
Giving is not necessarily always money. Giving is your love, your talent, your strength. That is why love God with all your strength, with all of your mind (Mark 12:30).
- There are people who can give their mind, they are talented in the brain, they can use their mind more than their strength.
- But there are people who can also give their strength more than their mind. “Pastor my mind is weak so I use my body.” Give to God, love God with all your strength.
- We also give to the Father our soul and our spirit by surrendering. That is why we are here children, sons and daughters. First of all, we have given Him our soul, our spirit.
The Seasons in the Kingdom
There are seasons of spiritual revolution, seasons of financial revolution, seasons of the revolution of excellence.
- In the Revolution of excellence, it is always the month of May. What is revolution of excellence? We harvest people who have become sons and daughters, who are the brightest and who are the most talented.
In the revolution of excellence, we overthrow stupidity and ignorance. We harvest talents, abilities that can be used for the Father Almighty, for excellence, for His glory and honor. Come, we will harvest you.
And seasons of harvest is always in May, where you can apply to become a fulltime miracle worker.
If you are a singer, do not give your ability to the world, give it to the Father. Any kinds of talent, any kind of ability, as long as it will give the Father an excellence in service, give that to Him.
- We have the Spiritual revolution that happens every day. We see the mass baptisms that we have. Those are seasons of harvest. We overthrow the serpent seed of the human will and enthrone the will of the Father by repentance and after that mass baptism.
You will go with the Father in His death, burial and resurrection. You have identified yourself with Him.
There are also seasons of Financial revolution and we do that every day. We give our tithes and offerings; we give our first fruits; we give our best to Him especially in the months of ‘bers, September, October, November going to December. These are the months or seasons of the Father’s giving.
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
This is very dynamic and this is happening in the Kingdom Nation today even in the ministry of the Appointed Son. That is why we cannot contain the blessings the Father has given to us.
Because the Appointed Son is already blessed, couldn’t I give to the ministry anymore?
Let us be careful with this thought. It’s not because the ministry of the Appointed Son in the Kingdom Nation has already been blessed, you keep your part, and no longer give. This is the mindset of those who are still in the world, who are still selfish and greedy. But we always follow what the Almighty Father has said.
Luke 6:38 is one of those commandment.
Malachi 3:10 is one of those commandment when it comes to our blessings.
We wanted to be blessed; we want all the money that we can get from the Father Almighty and use for His glory- to expand His Kingdom on earth, to give Him glory and to put excellence in His name.
Do not worry about what you give because it will come back to you in the same manner that you have given only it is much, much more.
Luke 6:38 is a financial law of the Father, it is a law of its own kind.
So whatever you sow, that also will you reap (Galatians 6:7). We will not sow money only, we sow all kinds, love, goodness, faith, meekness, peace, joy, (Galatians 5:22-23) all of these are the good seeds that are implanted. When you share with everyone any kind of these seeds that you planted, wherever you go, they will come back to you.
If you sow peace, you will reap peace.
If you sow trouble, you will reap trouble.
If you sow one trouble, you will reap ten troubles.
When you sow one seed of rice husk, there are more than ten seeds that will come back to you in the same manner that you sow.
Words can also be sown because words can become spirit. The spirit of peace, the spirit of love, the spirit of joy, the spirit of meekness, the spirit of gentleness, the spirit of long-suffering, if you sow that, it will come back to you ten-fold. That is why it is not good for us to sow bad seeds.
Do not sow hatred, because ten-fold of hatred will come back to you.
Do not sow any kind of seed that you do not want to reap.
If you want to reap blessing, sow blessing.
Others are reaping poverty because they have sown the seeds of poverty.
What are the seeds of poverty? They are the seeds of greediness and selfishness.
Fact: The Father does not bless just any kind of giving!
Remember, the Father does not bless any kind of giving except in sincerity of that giving.
Sapphira and Ananias also gave but instead of being blessed, the Father did not bless them. Instead of having their lives, they lost their lives. Just imagine, they already gave and still they lost their lives because they did not give in sincerity, they pretended yet they were not sincere in their giving (Acts 5).
The spirit of giving entails the sincerity and the spirit of humility. We cannot say we love God if we do not love our fellowmen.
1 John 4:7-8
(7) Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
(8) He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
1 John 3:16 -18
(16) Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
(17) But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
(18) My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
We show the world our light when we do good to our fellowmen.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.
What will make us shine in the world?
It is not only our talents, it is not only what we do, but our love, unadulterated love that comes from the Father.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father, which is in heaven.
How can we do Sonshine Philippines Movement (SPM) without true love?
How can we clean other people’s backyard without true love?
How can we clean esteros that we have not dirtied if we do not have true love? That is not our garbage, it is other people’s garbage who do not care but we go there because we love our fellowmen, we love our Almighty Father. We love His creation, we love each other.
We love the Son and the Son loves us, first of all that love is divine love. That is why he preaches to us spiritually first before anything else, also the thing that we want from the Son is spiritual not carnal.
We love the Son because he preaches the truth to us; we love him because he preaches repentance to us.
We love him because when he preaches repentance to us; when we surrender the serpent seed, the Father will give us the greatest gift, which is the spirit of obedience to the will of the Father Almighty. In turn the Father loves us, when we open our hearts in compassion to the poor, we offer to the Father a pleasing sacrifice.
Why did the Father bless the Kingdom Nation so much?
He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.
When you help the poor, you are lending to the Father and it will be the Father who will give and pay you back. That is why we love the poor. That is why we have ministries to the poor. Let us help those who cannot help themselves. Let us help those who cannot pay back. It will be the Father who will pay us back and this is why we become children of the Father because we obey this.
But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
Luke 14:12 – 14
(12) Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.
(13)But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:
(14)And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.
We are doing this. Come here on April 25, we have a big party all over the world; we call the children who cannot repay us, children who are the poorest of the poor.
About the lame, and the maimed and the blind, we also have ministry to the poor for them, so we also help them, but mainly we help children who are innocent and who cannot help themselves.
And this is the reason why the Father has blessed this ministry so much because we have not forgotten about the children, if you do this to the least of them, you do it to Me (Matthew 25:40), the Father said.
The Father will bless this ministry continuously because generosity to the poor is even considered as pure religion.
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
If you are talking about pure religion, then you have love in your heart.
Pure religion is unadulterated love for those who cannot help themselves.
The Father even regards giving to the poor as acceptable spiritual fast.
Isaiah 58:6 -12
When we choose the kind of fast in verse 6 and 7:
(6) Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
(7) Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
Then blessings will come.
(8) Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy reward.
(9)Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
(10) And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:
(11) And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
(12) And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
Fasting in the Kingdom is no longer going hungry. This is the kind of fast that the Father is pleased of, to help our fellowmen, to deal our bread to the hungry. Bring the poor that are cast out to thy house.
Then there are hypocrites who, when they see this prosperity of the Kingdom, would say, “Oh your Pastor is getting rich and you are very poor,” as if they love the poor.
That is always the line of hypocrites. And then they would see Pastor’s blessings, “Oh you have a nice car and your members are poor, Oh you have a nice house and your members are poor.”
Let’s ask the hypocrites who are accusing us of that, “How many poor did you put into your house, and how many poor are you feeding and you have received as your own in your own house, feeding them, clothing them, and nurturing them?” Not one of these hypocrites stood and said, “I have one in my house, a poor from the street, I took him in and made him my own.” Not one.
Do you know why the Son is blessed?
Because he is following Isaiah 58:6-12. If you ask him how many people who cannot help themselves are living with him? In the compound in Davao City alone, there are about 2,000 people who are being fed every day, clothed every day.
We cook 45 sacks of rice everyday here that is rice only, there is no fish yet to talk about, there is no vegetable yet to talk about, there is no soap yet to talk about, there is no water yet to talk about, and there is no light yet to talk about.
That is in the Davao City compound only, and how many compounds do the Kingdom have? If Pastor Apollo is feeding 10,000 people every day what is that to them? They have not noticed that because they are hypocrites, they are greedy, they are selfish, and they only see the blessings, they have not seen the obedience.
This ministry is being blessed because Pastor Apollo obeyed Isaiah 58:6-12. And none of these hypocrites have done what Pastor has done while these hypocrites who are accusing us, have not even fed one child; they are only feeding themselves and when they see the blessings of the Kingdom, they accuse Pastor Apollo.
Why would the Father give him everything that he has now? Because it is His promise. Verse 9. If you do those things in verses 1 to 8, then verse 9 will happen to you.
(9) Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
(10) And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry,
There are also people who are mentally starving. They may be 30 years old but their mind is only of a 5-year old child. Just imagine, a 30 year-old person with a mindset of a 5 year-old, that is pretty distressing and stressful. But we are helping them. The Father has sent so many crazy people who are here now and now they are no longer crazy.
…and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:
Just imagine, your darkness will become noonday, we are still talking about darkness- the darkest part of your life. How much more when it has already light, then it would shine so bright!
That is why when the Son talks, he has all the right to talk. Because he derived all the right he has from complete, full and absolute obedience to the will of the Father Almighty.
Before you talk about the blessings that he has received from the Almighty Father, which are His promise, let’s read this Scripture:
When I call, He will answer, when I cry, He shall say ‘here I am’,
Though Pastor Apollo should talk as the Son, as he has everything, and he inherited all things (Revelation 21:7), now he shall talk as a servant to explain the said Scripture. Because when he talks like the Son he doesn’t talk like this because he is the Father’s audible voice. It might be us who will call and the Father will answer us through His Son, because the Father is in His temple right now.
“When I call the Father will answer, when I cry, He shall say here I am.
He’ll answer, “Son, what do you want?”
“Father I do not have a vehicle to ride on, I need one in the US.”
“Okay, I will give you one.”
And the Father gave the Son the best.
If you question the blessings that the Son is receiving from the Father then you should ask Him. And tell him, “Father, he does not have the right to own that, I have the right to own that, not him.”
The Father might tell you, “Shut up!”
Didn’t He said, “I have delivered all things unto My Son” (Matthew 11:27)? So these blessings that they are talking about are just nothing; they are just bonuses of the blessings we are receiving from Him because of our obedience.
Let us not talk about the blessings, let us talk about what we are doing in obedience to the will of the Father.
We are cooking 45 sacks of rice a day, and those hypocrites accusing Pastor cannot even share one kilo of rice to the poor. And when they pray, they always think of the blessing for themselves but when Pastor Apollo prays, he would say, “Father how many people needs blessings? Father how many poor again will I feed this day? Father how many children more are there out there going to bed hungry at night. I want to reach out to them.”
So He sent all the blessings because he is not thinking of himself instead he is thinking of his fellow human being who needs him and his help. That is why the Father keeps on expanding the Kingdom Nation to all the world.
The righteousness of the Son is as the noonday sun; no wonder He called Pastor Apollo His Appointed Son while they are the appointed hypocrites who will, one day, go to hell. He said that in the Matthew 7:21, “Depart from Me you that do iniquity.” Depart and go into everlasting punishment.
That’s why this is what we always think about every day, we think about helping others.
Do you want to be blessed?
Think not of yourself, think of others who needs your help. Think like the Son. He put up the Jose Maria College so that he could send more students who cannot help themselves to school.
Why is Pastor Apollo’s ministry keep on expanding to the world?
Because there are many needy people all over the world who need me. And as long as there are more needy people who need him, he will keep on expanding, because the ministry of the Son is here to reach out to help souls, to find salvation, souls that will find comfort, souls that will find rest, souls that will find what they are looking for, hungry people to feed.
Do you know why Pastor Apollo has big fish cages?
They say Pastor is blessed because he has big fishponds. Do you know that one big fish cage in the Kingdom will hold about 12,000 milkfish? But when we harvest that it is only for one day because he has 12,000 mouths to feed, thus we still need more.
Why do Pastor Apollo has many lands?
Because he has many people to house who are also children, sons and daughters of the Father in the Kingdom, who will be helping in the propagation of the Father’s message in the world.
Loving our brethren is the fulfillment of the royal law.
(1) My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.
(2) For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
(3) And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:
(4) Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
(5) Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
(6) But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?
(7) Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?
(8) If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
The Son’s love for the poor is genuine. When he says he loves the poor, that means he wants them to get out of poverty.
But when anybody says, “I love the poor” yet wants them to stay in poverty always, he is a hypocrite. Because loving the poor means you will take them out of poverty, change their way of life, and change their clothes.
There are so many hypocrites in the world today that in order to identify themselves with the poor, they will pretend to be poor themselves. They will wear poor man’s clothing and will go with the poor; that is a hypocrite’s love for the poor. But in fact, they are really rich and do not care about the poor. They only care about the poor because they want something out of the poor.
Example, if one politician wants your vote, he will keep you in poverty so you will always be ignorant. And then he will pretend to be like you when he visits you just to get your votes. He will pretend by dressing like you so that you can identify yourself with him and he can identify himself with you, but only on election time. But after that, he would go back to his life and you go back to your own life. “Just remain in poverty, I want you there.” That is hypocrite’s love for the poor.
But the Son’s love for the poor is when the Son sees you, he want you to get out of your lifestyle of poverty.
What is the Father through the Son’s love for the poor?
“I love you as my neighbor” means I want you to be where I am; that is the Father’s love for the poor so that “where I am, there you maybe also” (John 14:3).
If I wanted to live in a nice place like this, I want you to be with me. The poor are living with me, I change their clothes; I buy nice clothes for them. When I buy clothes, I do not even buy or think of clothes for myself, I buy for all of those who are with me and in return the Father supplies all my needs. I changed their clothes, I changed their teeth. Because the poor cannot afford to have a dentist so I put up a clinic for them. If you have any dental problem, see me, it’s for free.
Let them live with me. Let them live like people of the Father who have been blessed.
It’s not only the rich people who can savor good landscaping, so you are. That is why we have a Garden of Eden Restored where you can go and enjoy the creation of the Father Almighty. Only the rich can afford that before, but look at the poor who have been blessed of the Father, they owned what the Father has.
That is genuine love for the poor, that where I am there you maybe also; that what I eat, you may eat also; that what I wear, you may wear also; that where I live, you may live also; that what I drink, you may drink also; that where I go, you may go also; that where I sit, you can sit also; that is genuine love for the poor.
What is the hypocrite’s love for the poor?
“You stay where you are, and I will stay where I am; I will just go to you and pretend to be one with you, and after that, when I already got what I want, I’d go and retract my steps, go back to where I was. Just stay where you are, stay there.”
That is a hypocrite’s love for the poor; there are plenty of that in the Philippines.
We have yet to see one leader who would say, “I love the poor” and then wanted to extract them out of the lifestyle of poverty and put them where he is, like educating them.
“If I am educated, I would like you to become educated like me. I do not like you to stay in poverty of mind; in the poverty of pocket; in the poverty of relationship; in the poverty of your brain. Instead, I want you to be educated, first of all spiritually, then mentally.
If you lack education in school, we have an institution here. Many of our fulltime miracle workers, who have decided to become fulltime, lack education so I send them to school, educate them because I want them to become like me; I want them to become bright like me, talented like me, excellent like me. That where I am, there you maybe also.”
That is genuine love. That is what the Father promised His disciples.
(2) In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
(3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
That is genuine love, doing good to our fellowmen is not something to be bragged about. When you do your alms, do it for the Father.
(1) Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
(2) Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
(3) But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
(4) That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
When this love is perfected in us, we show to the world that we are indeed the children of God.
3 John 1:11
Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
It is all there; it is written. We are a nation of givers and we are also a nation of getters. We get the blessings because He promised it to us.
Israel is a nation of getters.
Every morning the manna will drop from the heavens but the manna will not go to their rooms, nor into their pots, nor into their kitchens, instead they have to pick it up outside. Every day they have to find the manna outside, they have to do something for themselves. They have to go out and labor in picking up the manna for themselves.
We will pick out the manna. That is why we come here in the worship place; you do not only wait in your house and turn on your TV. “I’ll just be contented in sitting in front of my TV, anyway Pastor is preaching and I am listening here.” That is not only the Father’s will. That is only the Father’s will if you are away from here, but if you are here, the Father expects you to become present because He said,
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Our love to the Father is the love to give everything to Him.
Real love is depicted in the story of these two mothers who went to Solomon. Both of them have their own child. Each one of them slept together with their own child. But in the morning, one of the mothers was too careless as to sleep over the body of her child; the child suffocated and died.
Then this evil mother thought of exchanging her dead baby with the living baby of the other mother beside her. When the real mother of the living child woke up, she has the dead baby; she knew that was not her baby; her baby was stolen by this careless mother whose baby died because of carelessness.
They were fighting over the living child. “That is my child!”
“No, that is mine, the dead is yours, the living is mine!”
It was a dispute. They brought the case to Solomon. Solomon in His wisdom as a king said, “Okay, because you are disputing and every one claims the living baby is her baby, I want to divide the baby. Soldier come, take your sword, and divide the baby between her and her.”
The sentiment of the real mother is the sentiment of sacrifice and love. While the attitude and character of the careless mother who didn’t love the baby, anyway it is not her baby, said, “Okay, divide the baby between her and me.” She thought, “Because my baby is already dead I want her baby to be dead also.”
But the real mother said, “No, no, no, do not do that, I love my baby, just give it to her.” She sacrificed. She is willing to sacrifice not to have the baby so that she could only save the life of her baby (because that is her own baby.) That is the real characteristic of love: Love will sacrifice.
What is the characteristic of the unloving mother?
Carelessness. She does not care about life. “Okay, kill the baby.” Those who do not care about the spiritual life of others really do not care about love. Those who do not care to obey really do not have love. The sign of love is to obey and if in your obedience, you sacrifice, you do it because you love.
Let the love of the Father go to each one of you. “Seek ye first the Kingdom” is a sign of love. Always ask, “What is good for the Kingdom? What does the Father need of me? What will the Father use me of?”
We will do everything for the Father because of that love. We love Him because He first loved us (1 John 4:19).
