The Sonshine Philippines Movement was founded on June 18, 2005, during an episode of one of Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy’s programs, “Give Us this Day”. It is dedicated to restore the Earth and make the Philippines as the model for the reign of the good upon the earth. The strategies of SPM in the implementation of programs, projects and activities (PPAs) is founded on volunteerism, partnership, networking, and collaboration with the communities, local government units, environmental groups and funding agencies who shared the same vision with SPM.
As a non-profit organization, SPM anchor on the support of the volunteers and partners in its pursuit for a sustainable management and development of Mother Earth’s natural resources. The SPM, spearheaded by Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy, directed its thrust to a sustainable method of protecting, developing and managing the environment. Its thrusts include Agri-forest Resource Development and Management, Marine Resource Development and Management, Solid Waste Management, Eco-tourism Development, and Disaster Response Risk Management.
