PASTOR APOLLO C. QUIBOLOY ISSUES STATEMENTS ON ALLEGED CASES.

Church Age Beliefs about the Rapture is a Myth

About This Post

What does the Rapture truly entail?

The preaching of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy is a complete shift of perspective from the teachings of mainstream religion and denominations of the Church Age.

Pastor Apollo emphasized that the Church Age definition and understanding of the end-day phenomenon known as the ‘Rapture’ couldn’t be further from the truth. Like the Pharisees and the Sadducees in Jesus’ time, the Church Age of today is so physical, and their interpretation of the rapture is all physical.

The Appointed Son of God, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, went back to back with new live episodes of Powerline, Spotlight, and Give Us This Day, delivering the hard meat of the Word of God to sons and daughters watching his programs worldwide.

While never departing from the message of genuine repentance that he has preached since the very beginning of his ministry, Pastor Apollo delivers fresh new manna of revelation from the Almighty Father every time he preaches on his TV programs. This manna is new knowledge and understanding of the Father’s Will.

Pastor Apollo’s revolutionary preaching, a complete shift of perspective from the teaching of all other religions and denominations of the Church Age, are so different from religious doctrine that many detractors call him a cult and false prophet. But Pastor Apollo maintains that he will always stand for the truth.

In these recent episodes, Pastor Apollo lambasted the Church Age definition and understanding of the end-day phenomenon known as the ‘rapture’.

He said that just like the Pharisees and the Sadducees in Jesus’ time, the Church Age of today is so physical, and their interpretation of the rapture is all physical.

Church Age Rapture

What is the Church Age’s physical interpretation of the Rapture?

The rapture is an eschatological concept of a minority of Christians, particularly within branches of American evangelicalism, consisting of an end-time event when all Christian believers who are alive, along with resurrected believers, will rise “in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air.”

Wikipedia

“In all the religions of the Church Age, when you are a Christian, a believer of Christ, the rapture is when you physically hear the trumpet sounding (a physical trumpet) and all of a sudden, by strike of magic, you will be changed into a spiritual body and you will leave this earth and fly up with the Lord in the air,” Pastor Apollo pointed out.

The Interpretation of the Rapture must be — first of all — Spiritual

“But I have a different definition of the rapture, totally different from the Church Age,” he asserted. “First of all, it is spiritual. ‘In the twinkling of an eye’ is not something in the physical realm, but in the spiritual realm.”

Pastor Apollo explained that in the spirit, when a person believes in his message as the Appointed Son, when he repents and goes through the baptism of fire, he is already raptured to the New Jerusalem.

“I was the first one in the planet Earth to be raptured, to be transported to the New Jerusalem. When you believe me, I will also transport you,” he pronounced.

The Appointed Son stressed that the New Jerusalem is not a physical city that will come down from heaven and hang up in the air, but is a spiritual city where the Father’s Will alone is being done. This is the Kingdom Nation of the Father here on Earth.

Pastor Apollo attested that to ‘meet the Lord up in the air’ means listening to the message of the Son on air via social media or TV, and believing in it. And that the trumpet sound is not a physical trumpet, but is the message of salvation that the Appointed Son is preaching today.

Citing 1 John 3:2 which says that we are now sons of God, and that when he is manifested, we shall be like him, Pastor Apollo chided the Church Age because they are still waiting for the Jewish body of Jesus Christ to come and manifest.

“But the Almighty Father is no longer using a Jewish body. He is now using a Gentile body,” he contended. “What is important are the words that are coming from that body. It is the same, the same words that the Jewish body preached 2,000 years ago.”

Pastor Apollo then declared that to become like Him — changed into the same image from glory to glory (2 Cor 3:17-18) is to be like Him in loyalty, dedication, and commitment. Pastor Apollo’s popular TV programs are broadcast live from Davao City to millions of viewers via Sonshine Media Network International TV channels worldwide.
