From its humble beginnings in the year 2002, the Jose Maria College (JMC) has been reaching milestone after milestone. First, opening a College of Law in the year 2015, and just recently, launching a College of Medicine Foundation.

Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, the Founding President of JMC led the launching on May 18, 2019 at Marco Polo Davao, together with the administrative officials of the institution and dignitaries from the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd).

“We would do everything in excellence. We would want to be at par even with the world’s best. I would be very proud to be one of those who will hear the news that the best medical institution can be found here in Davao,” Pastor Apollo said.

Establishing a medical institution was a long standing vision of the good Pastor who has seen the plight of children who do not have access to healthcare. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), around 45% of deaths among children below 5 years old are linked to undernutrition. Thus, JMC hopes to harness the potential of young people to turn the tables around and relieve the world’s children from sickness and malnutrition.

Aside from its commitment to offer assured, consistent and quality education, what sets JMC apart is its cause for the youth. For 17 years, the institution has molded young people to put the welfare of others before their own, just as what the Founding President advocates. Indeed, the Jose Maria College of Medicine Foundation is just one of the many milestones to come in JMC’s relentless trek towards excellence and youth development.
