After 22 long years, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy made a victorious come back to the city of Digos, Davao del Sur, for the 4th leg of his victorious King is Coming Tour 2019, on Sunday, July 21.
Speaking to an overflow crowd of more than 10,000 sons and daughters, televiewers and sympathizers gathered inside the Davao del Sur Coliseum in Matti, Digos City, the beloved pastor reminded one and all to focus their eyes on things that are real and eternal, and not on things that are temporal and that pass away.
Presenting the conundrum that physical life is only temporary and is therefore a dream, Pastor Apollo explained that it is life in the spirit, which every man and woman will face after death, that is eternal and therefore is reality.
“Many people do not believe that they have a soul,” the beloved Pastor pointed out. “But it is your soul that sees, that hears, that speaks and thinks. And when you die, it is your soul that will face the reality of eternity.”
Pastor Apollo then cited Matthew 6:19-21 which commands man to lay not treasure on earth that moth and rust can corrupt, but to lay up treasure in heaven that can neither be stolen nor destroyed.
He stressed that he had come to preach to the soul of everyone in Digos City because it is the soul that should be prepared with treasure laid up in heaven.
He pointed out that God has given man only 70 years (Psalm 90:10) in which to live on this earth, after which his body will expire and face the reality of eternity.
“There are only two eternities: heaven or hell. I have come to tell you that even now, you can decide where you want to go, that even right now, you can choose to go to heaven,” he contended.
Pastor Apollo maintained that ignorance of this spiritual reality is why people focus on amassing earthly treasure –success and wealth, which are all temporary – while leaving behind what is truly important – the life of the soul.
The message was a jolt to the soul for many in the crowd, but they received it with rapt and wide-eyed attention, singing and dancing afterwards with newly awakened joy and enthusiasm. They also received the blessings of healing, prosperity and answered prayers pronounced by Appointed Son of God during his closing prayer.
At the end of the special thanksgiving and worship presentation, Pastor Apollo was once again recognized with an avalanche of appreciation awards from the different local governments in Davao del Sur including many tokens of friendship and commendations.
Representatives from Parang, Maguindanao and Saranggani Province also came to award their own appreciation awards to the beloved Pastor for the many social and environmental programs and projects he had spearheaded in the aforementioned regions. Pastor Apollo spent one year in intense communion with the Almighty Father in the early years of his calling among the B’laan tribal people in Mt. Kitbog, now part of Saranggani Province.
