Seventeen years after his last concert crusade in Bacolod City, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy made a victorious return to the City of Smiles for the first leg of His King is Coming Tour Philippines.
The SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City overflowed with Kingdom citizens, televiewers, sympathizers, and covenant partners who eagerly came to the venue to listen to the only message of repentance as preached by the Appointed Son of God, the Father’s point of salvation in these last days.
Preaching in a mixture of Hiligaynon, Tagalog, English and Cebuano, as his tendency when speaking to a widespread audience of various dialectical groups and languages, Pastor Apollo delivered a life-changing message to a very excited and responsive crowd.
His message revolved around the answer to the question that the Church Age of religion and denomination cannot accept – the question of why he is called the Appointed Son of God.
Pastor Apollo assured his listeners that if they would listen to him and believe, a vaster heaven will be opened up to them than what they currently know and understand.
He, too, was taken out of the box of the denomination by the Father so that he could see the vast expanse of the love of the Almighty Father, he said.
He recalled Moses and Paul who both had a special calling and purpose in their lives. They too were taken out of all that they knew, all that they understood and loved, so that they could see the Will of the Father and His purpose for them.
He recounted that His own calling began with the vision of his mother when he was born. “She saw God and the heard a voice that said, ‘That is my son,’” he told the crowd.
This was a puzzle to them all as they were growing up, he revealed, until he found himself years later, in two mountains for six years to be tried and tested and to decide whether to pursue a promising career as an evangelist under the coddling of his denomination, or to obey the Will of the Father even if the road ahead was murky and uncertain.
When at the end of it all and he was able to overcome all challenges, the Father said to him, “Now, you are my son” he remembered the vision of his mother.
Pastor Apollo said that he was trained and disciplined to bring one message to the world: the message of repentance – that except a man be born again in the spirit of obedience to the Father’s Will, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.
The thanksgiving and worship presentation ended with Pastor receiving several recognitions from the City of Bacolod and Talisay, Negros Occidental.
First, a Key to the City of Bacolod given by City Mayor Evelio Leonardia thru City Administrator Atty. John Orola, Jr., a Plaque of Appreciation for the Exemplary Contribution of Pastor Apollo to the city, and another Plaque of Appreciation for the work of the Children’s Joy Foundation in the City of Bacolod.
The City of Talisay also awarded Pastor Apollo with a Plaque of Appreciation for Pastor Apollo’s exemplary environmental work in the city through the Sonshine Philippines Movement.
Pastor Apollo and his crusade team will be proceeding to Cagayan de Oro City on June 23 for the next KICT leg, and then to Isabela on July 7 and Digos City on July 21.
This, he said, was his own experience, when the Father called him out of the denomination that he loved in the early years his calling in the 70’s.
