On Sunday, May 9, 2021, Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has taken the time off his busy schedule to visit his longtime friend and spiritual adviser, International Television Evangelist Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, at the congregation’s Central Headquarters in Davao City, Philippines.
The two leaders, along with Senator Bong Go, had a wonderful dinner together while discussing important matters of state — particularly the most pressing issues in the country today.
In an interview conducted by SMNI following the Presidential visit, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy urged the nation to pray for President Duterte amidst the huge responsibilities he is facing as head of the Republic.
Regardless of these immense challenges, Pastor Apollo unceasingly maintained his confidence towards the President’s capacity to fulfill the demands of his office and the promises he made during the 2016 elections.
“We have seen how our country prospered under President Duterte’s leadership. That is a sterling record that nobody can take away,” Pastor Apollo Quiboloy said, “We all love our country. So let us pray for the President that he will be blessed. And that he will be able to continue to do and perform his responsibilities for the good of our country and the Filipino people. Bless the President.”
Pastor Apollo also announced during the interview that President Duterte will be holding a LIVE “Talk to the Nation” Forum on June 7, 2021, at the SMNI Worldwide Studios in Davao City.
Duterte, the 16th President of the Republic of the Philippines, won the presidency on May 9, 2016, by a landslide victory of 16.6 million votes. This is the highest number of votes ever won by any Philippine president before him.
